Welcome to our Creator spotlight!

Continuing our series of Space Engineers Creator Spotlights with AndrewmanGaming.

“I remember hearing about Space Engineers back in 2014. I was in college and had only a laptop for a computer. I bought the game excited to try it out, but my laptop, bless its heart, could not handle it! Fast forward to the Planets update, a friend convinced me to give Space Engineers a try on my new computer. I had no idea what I was doing but with his help, I was able to create my first rover… which I promptly flipped… I learned a lot about the game through finding ways to un-flip my rovers! A few years later, when I was going through a YouTube channel “rebrand” so-to-speak and looking for new games to record, I figured I’d give Space Engineers a try. I didn’t expect the series to do well as I was very inexperienced with the game and it showed. But the Space Engineers community works in mysterious ways!

So much of my experience playing Space Engineers comes directly from the community – from the viewers watching and commenting on videos. In fact, for a long time, my process for building any new ship that I was unsure of was to record one video to make a rough “Andrew-designed” version, then another video to overhaul the original design with improvement ideas from the comment section, and finally a third video to implement further tweaks, again from the comment section. In that way, most of my builds are the result of many different engineers coming together with ideas.

When I’m looking for inspiration for videos or builds, I often find it in the night sky. Nothing gives me that burst of creativity and drive to build something new like looking up at the moon above. Maybe it’s the humbling realization that the world is so large while we’re so small. The moon is so far away. But in Space Engineers, it’s not. It’s accessible. So accessible that you can climb up to it with a ladder (source: Splitsie). The next time you’re feeling low on creativity or inspiration, take a look at the night sky. It just might get those ideas flowing!”

Space Engineers Survival – A Brand New Start [2025]

My current 2025 survival series is a good starting point for viewers! It’s a standard “crashed ship” solo survival world with an emphasis on story.

Space Busters | Drilling a Hole Through the Earth With SHIPS!

Here is a recent Space Busters video where I build mining ships to drill to the center of the earth.

Building a TRANSPORT Ship in 1 Minute, 10 Minutes, and 1 Hour!

a fun challenge video where we attempt to build a transport ship in 1 minute, 10 minutes, and 1 hour, and then compare what we were able to create with those restrictions.

Space Engineers: Escape From Typhoon

This one is a collaboration with Kanajashi taking place on a custom planet and features a gigantic laser so that’s fun!

Space Engineers Let’s Play – THE EAGLE HAS LANDED

the first episode of my original Space Engineers survival series wayyyy back in 2018 when I didn’t know anything about the game!
