Creator Spotlight: Lemon

Welcome to our Creator spotlight!

Continuing our series of Space Engineers Creator Spotlights with Lemon.

“Late December 2015 bought Space Engineers, prior to buying the game i had for the most of that year been watching SE YouTube videos mainly LastStandGamers. I’ve been always a very avid builder, originally beginning with LEGOS and games such as Minecraft and Terraria so it was obvious that i would like this game. It really wasn’t until 2019 that i started to play SE more, but it really was just coming on and off whenever there were new updates.

At around 2022 is when i began playing Space Engineers more regularly and it was that year when i released my still to this day second highest viewed workshop creation, ‘G-253 Atlas A2’. Since then i’ve been playing often and publishing many creations varying from ships and vehicles to mechs and large carriers but, there are a lot of creations that were scrapped.

My build style consists of heavy use of subgrids and detailing in unusual or expensive ways, which would be difficult to replicate in survival. My designs are similar to Star Citizen RSI ship designs, and i draw a lot of inspiration from the ships from there and other mediums such as the SE community workshop and art from the internet. My build styles foundation was built upon countless other creations such as TRAV.D’s, taking notes and replicating parts of ships that i loved, combining and tweaking them to my desires. In the process i learned how to use blocks creatively and use texture, color and lighting to my benefit, and all of that accumulated into what my build style is today.”

APC-277 Keranos

277 Keranos, is an APC (as you could have guess from the categorization).

Its meant to be a newer more modern version of the APC i had done years prior (Tempest) as that was just a hunk of metal. While it might lack top armor it should be sufficient enough to do its job.

LC-276 Barbatos

Elegant, Detailed Exterior Created by a complicated* subgid structure.

Able of “clangless” Flight despite the vast amounts of subgrids. Fast accelerating ship, lacks proper armor and weapons.

EG-273 Hermes

Hermes is a communications spacecraft with an integrated command and control battle management, target detection, and tracking platform. The spacecraft provides an accurate, real-time picture of the battlespace to the main fleet.

Equipped with Long Range radar and antennas to allow fast communication through long distances and early enemy warning system. Provides sufficient accommodation for a crew of 6-7.

AC – 264 Monarch

Monarch, the crown ship of the current generation. Assault carrier equipped with heavy long weaponry and contains “self-repair” system on all turrets (with the exception of “custom turrets”).

Large hangar area and a repair hangar. Accommodates crews up to 60, [Not Including Cryo]. Contains numerous Breach Gates to prevent invaders and sudden air loss in large spaces. Max Hangar capacity [CONNECTOR] is 8.

MS-278 Chronos I

278 Chronos I is a mobile suit capable of both space and ground combat. Its mostly intended for space combat(literally what mobile suits were originally made for).

It had a predecessor project which i had to scrap because it had issues with proportions and clang etc. Generally speaking it can fly in atmosphere but there are some issues with that.
