26Welcome to our Creator spotlight!

Continuing our series of Space Engineers Creator Spotlights with Mitthrawn.

“Hi everyone, I’m Burak, living in Türkiye. We’ve crossed paths with Space Engineers back in… I think late 2013 at a random sunday when coincidentally Space Engineers was free to play for that weekend, it tempted me so hard I downloaded it and sat behind the screen for that evening instead of getting to bed, mind you I was at highschool at that time. There weren’t any planets or anything. When I joined a random server with equally clueless five or ten more people as me were fiddling with a bunch of blocks trying to make a ship yet none were successful, I admit I joined the fray for a while and decided it was probably better to read up on block descriptions, and then it all started to make sense I’ve started to place those roster of blocks in a half coherent way even thrusters begin to work and before I know it a crowd made of those same clueless people were watching me build a working ship. Not so long after, guys from that crowd stole my ship and said they would only return it after I built for them too, not much of a choice, I guess.

With time, I’ve found my style and capabilities through exploring the game and DLCs rolling constantly to keep me engaged in the game, my favorite thing to do is building, and probably building only. I like developing a design language and style throughout my builds, changing and refreshing it with every faction I come up with, which especially helps with burnout and lack of inspiration. At the end, Space Engineers is like a canvas for me to convey my vision onto. Community has been an eye-opening part of this journey too, many modders and creators inspired and drove me to get ever better, and improve what I already knew.

Now with SE2 becoming a builder’s dream with a single grid system, I’ve been waiting to try my hand and skillset in SE2 as well. I’m still looking forward to the future of SE1 and actively being a part of the community, the thrill of people liking what you’ve been keeping yourself busy with days and weeks still stimulates something exceptional.

HK-CP-1414 Corvo TAT-FA Commercial Freighter

HK-CP-1414 “Corvo” is a top of line Heavy Freighter preferred by self-employed couriers and start-up companies more than big corporations, which doesn’t whet corporations’ appetite as it does with kilometer-long haulers that push enormous amounts of cargo across the systems but leaves speed as something to be desired in those cases.

ANS Concordia Type A- Class Destroyer

Concordia line of destroyers was a menace in the Titan-Lunar war, famously known as the Conflict of Satellites which consist of Luna as the colony of Earth authority of the United Nations Alliance, and the Titan as the associate of Jovian Federation also known as(United Moons of Jovian).

K.A.A.N Sazakan Heavy Lifter ILV

Kara Khan Orbital Works presents you the Sazakan, the heavy lifter. Designed for tugging and carrying out other ships or rovers, she belongs to the Industrial Forge of the Khan’s forges (edgy way of saying branch. I know) it hosts a modest crew and facilities to support them, compliments a medbay, captain’s quarter, a lift which you enter from, cargo bay, server room and various crew habitations along with CIC habitation.

K.A.A.N Ülgen (KGR-1)

Kara Khan Orbital Works presents you the Ülgen, a 7th rate Raider grade. She is heavily armed from tip to toe, sports 2x Asena PDR, on her wing like extrusions on both sides, and on dorsal there are two heavy hitters one artillery turret and one Katmerciler AT, a custom built 8 barreled assault cannon turret with 2 autocannons for suppressing fire between reloads, with mighty Khan’s order!

KAAN Hulagu [KEX-06]

Kara Khan Orbital Works presents you the Külagü, a 6th-rate Recon grade. The first hordes were born, from darkness and despair.

She is the glaring star to guide any unproven warrior who wants to form their horde and paint star systems crimson red. It is a delicate weapon but one that has many abilities up its sleeve with a strong wrist on its helm, numerous of these vessels were put on the sled across many star systems.
