Welcome to our Creator spotlight!
Continuing our series of Space Engineers Creator Spotlights with RMazer.
“I started playing Space Engineers when I was thirteen in 2020, and have accumulated many hours in the game. I have enjoyed both the gameplay and creativity that comes with bringing something to life in this game, and actually being able to interact with your creation. This game was quite difficult at first in terms of building something that was visually appealing to me, and it took me some time to finally assemble the skills necessary to feel confident in posting on the workshop, as I wanted the quality of my work to be decent enough to gain reasonable traction amongst the community. This game elevated my visual perspective regarding design and my intuitive nature in how I would produce what it was I had in mind. After playing this game for a while, it inspired me to start 3D modeling and 3D printing, where I also now find much enjoyment alongside Space Engineers.
When I first found this game, I was so attached to it. Having those creative limitations stripped away and being able to create something at the level Space Engineers allows you to do appealed to me on a level no other game had previously done before. Seeing the positive feedback my work had gotten on the workshop and the always active community inspired me to keep going. This game’s continuing evolution also motivated me to persist in pondering what it was I wanted to make next, and how I would do it. This is my favorite video game of all time, and seeing what the hard-working developers are doing with the game’s sequel leaves me thinking about how it will keep progressing into the future for veterans and new players alike to enjoy. “
