To celebrate the Fieldwork Update of Space Engineers, we’re thrilled to launch another exciting community challenge:
🔬 The Field Work Bunker Competition
Inspired by the recent Fieldwork Update, this competition is all about putting your engineering skills and scientific imagination to the test. We’re calling on all players to design and build a high-tech scientific bunker – a place where planetary researchers, explorers, and engineers might survive and thrive while conducting fieldwork on alien worlds.
🧪 What We’re Looking For:
- A functional and immersive scientific outpost or underground bunker
- Realistic features like labs, research rooms, power and oxygen systems, and defensive structures
- Bonus points for storytelling: who uses this bunker? What kind of research happens here?

🔧 Rules & Guidelines:
- “Your build must be uploaded to the Steam Workshop OR Mod.io.”
- “You can submit multiple entries, but only one prize per contestant.”
- “Builds must be original and made specifically for this competition.”
- “Mods are not permitted.”
- “Builds must be playable and functional in survival or creative mode.”
- “No copyrighted or stolen content – make sure all custom elements are your own or used with permission.”
- Be sure to review all contest rules thoroughly before you begin creating, so you’re fully familiar with the guidelines.
🔬 Evaluation & Results
- Following the submission period, we will enter a 2-week review phase to evaluate all entries for quality and rule compliance. From the eligible submissions, 10 winners will be selected based on creativity, functionality, and adherence to the theme.

RULES & LEGAL
Eligibility: This campaign is open only to those who are 13 years of age or older as of the date of entry. The campaign is open to legal residents of any country or state and is void where prohibited by law. The campaign is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Agreement to Rules: By participating, the contestant (“You”) agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Keen Software House as final and binding as they relate to the content of this campaign.
Campaign Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on May 28, 2025, at 15:00 UTC+1, and ending on June 30, 2025, at 23:59 UTC+1. All online entries must be received by June 30, 2025, at 23:59 UTC+1.
How to Enter: To enter, submit your entry via email to community@keenswh.com. The entry must meet all campaign requirements, as specified, to be eligible. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Keen Software House.
General Guidelines:
- Entries uploaded to the workshop/mod.io with 3 screenshot minimum
- Each contestant may submit as many entries as they like, but may only win once.
- Entries must reflect the theme of Space Engineers.
- Keen Software House is automatically granted the right to use and modify any and all entries for any and all purposes, whether or not the entrant is declared a winner.
Prizes:
- The specifics of the prize will be solely determined by Keen Software House.
- The prize is non-transferable.
- All prize-related expenses, including but not limited to any applicable taxes, are the sole responsibility of the Winner.
- No substitution or transfer of the prize or request for cash equivalent is permitted.
- Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Keen Software House to use and/or modify the Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for advertising and promotional purposes, in-game and on all Keen Software House channels, without additional compensation.
Winner Selection and Notification:
Winners will be selected by Marek Rosa (CEO, Creative Director, Founder of Keen Software House), Vladislav Polgar, Joel Wilcox, and Arron Tawn.
Ten winners will be notified via email at the conclusion of the contest.
Keen Software House shall not be liable for any entrant’s or winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam filters, junk mail, or other communication issues.
If a Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to acknowledge the prize, or does not return required documentation, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
Winning is conditioned upon compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Any violation of these rules (at Keen Software House’s sole discretion) will result in disqualification.
Rights Granted by You:
By submitting your entry World, you grant Keen Software House and its licensees the irrevocable right to use your entry, name, likeness, voice, image, and biographical information in all media worldwide, in perpetuity, for promotional purposes, without further compensation.
You also warrant that your entry is original and does not infringe on any third party’s rights.
If your entry infringes on another’s intellectual property, it will be disqualified.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Keen Software House from any resulting claims or legal actions.
Terms & Conditions:
Keen Software House reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the campaign in the event of technical failure, fraud, or other factors beyond its control.
It also reserves the right to disqualify anyone who tampers with the entry process or violates the terms.
Attempts to deliberately damage any website or undermine the campaign may result in legal action.
Keen Software House also reserves the right to void fraudulent entries (e.g., multiple entries from different IP addresses or bots).
Limitation of Liability:
By entering, you agree to release and hold harmless Keen Software House and its affiliates, employees, and partners from any liability or claims arising from:
(i) participation in the campaign;
(ii) technical failures;
(iii) unauthorized access;
(iv) human error;
(v) or any other issues related to the campaign or prize.
Disputes:
This campaign is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes will be resolved individually in the courts of the Czech Republic, and participants waive the right to claim punitive or consequential damages.
Sponsor:
The sponsor of this campaign is Keen Software House, located in Prague, Czech Republic.
This contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, any social media or digital distribution platform, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Twitter (X), Facebook, or Steam.
